Kia Kaha, Kia Ora | Be Active, Be Well

The Wonderful Outdoors

This year, we’re embracing the theme “The Wonderful Outdoors” for Play Week 2024!

We invite everyone across Aotearoa to discover the joy of play in the great outdoors. Whether it’s a box, a hose, or a tree, play is all around us—waiting to be explored!

Play Week Aotearoa 2024 celebrates the immense value that play brings to our tamariki, whānau, and communities. It provides us with the freedom to explore, take risks, and learn through experience. Through play, our tamariki develop vital skills in problem-solving, creativity, and resilience. They form new friendships, learn to embrace mistakes and cultivate a lifelong love of being active.

Let’s get outside and enjoy the wonders that nature has to offer.
